1966 SHELBY COBRA CONVERTIBLE. This is an ERA Dark Blue Replica Shelby Cobra 427 with only 9,000 original miles. They have been building replica Cobras since 1981. It is widely accepted that these replicas are the most accurate reproduction available anywhere. The wheels and tires size are the same as the original, the wheels base is the same, the type of motor and transmission are the same. The body is indistinguishable from the original car that will cost you $1.5M. The wheels are true knock off wheels. You cannot compare these cars to the cheaper Backdraft, Superformance, Factory Five and other replicas on the market.
Have the original invoice for the car from ERA. This car was built by ERA and NOT put together as a kit by one of their customers. This car has a super stiff square tubular race chassis with independent front and rear suspension. The front is fitted with disc brakes and coil over shocks. In the rear is a heavy duty Jaguar XJ-6 rear end with inboard disc brakes, posi-trac, dual coil over shocks and Dana 44 axles. The motor is a Big Block FE 427 and the trans is a Ford Top Loader 4-speed. In the pics the car looks black because it's cloudy, however the car is painted dark blue. The car handles phenomenally and is very comfortable to drive.
The car sat for a while in storage, so recently tuned some things up so it's ready for the next owner. The following are all new: Tires, distributor cap and rotor, starter relay, high performance starter, plug wires, high flow fuel pump, G-Force Race Harnesses.
