1971 LOTUS EUROPA S2 Mid-engined sports car. Original Renault R-16 engine with 64,850 miles. This car also has a manual transmission. Rare perspex headlight covers, owner has never seen others, new aluminum radiator, great tires, very nice interior. Lowered european stance, twin weber carburetor on a custom made aluminum manifold (carburetor needs dialing in, owner was told the intake manifold was very rare, only about 2 dozen made) custom powdercoated exhaust header, smaller steering wheel. Original hubcaps included are really nice, some extra parts. Light blue paint, in ok condition but not pristine. Chrome back bumper could use a going over. Clean engine, transaxle unit. original wiring. Good battery (one year old) owner doesn't think this car has ever been in a accident, but doesn't know for sure. There hasn't been any evidence to a accident. These R-16 engines do not like the cold to start, but it has good compression, good oil pressure immediatly upon start, and starts right up on a warm day. These are somewhat temperamental little sports cars, and must be driven in a safe manner. Everyone else is bigger than you, please be a safe driver. Stuff on Europas work one day, not the next, and then over night work again or decide to stay away. (especially instruments) owner thinks the previous owner shaved the head down, and there are domed high compression pistons in it. This does result in a bit higher horsepower, which truly isn't needed. If you are looking for a unique car you can work on and drive, that will turn heads and isn't like any others your friends have this is it. This car also has an electronic ignition, heater core has been removed and extra engine cooling added. There is no spare, and no rear package tray.
