1928 Ford Model A Sedan drag car. It has a vintage all steel body with a rat rod look and custom chassis built by Tim's Chassis Works, Tampa Bay, FL. I purchased the car from Ralph Smith. Ralph Smith’s dad, the original owner/driver, worked for Big Daddy Don Garlit's race team for many years. You can see the car in it's original color by searching "Ralph's money maker" youtube video. The car was originally heavy gold metal flake. The engine was built by highly respected engine builder Jim Bell from Tampa Bay, FL area. It has a Dart block, 496 cubic inches, it has Canfield heads, Crowller shaft rockers, comp cam, Eagle H beam rods and a 1090 demon carb. All ignition components are MSD. I have a dyno sheet for the motor. It has 822 hp at 6900 rpm and 645 foot lbs of torque. The car has a 2 speed power glide, trans brake, line lock and a 2 step, electronic solenoid shift. The bob weight is approx 2200 lbs. It has a current chassis certification for 8.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile. One of the best 1/8 mile times is 5.80 seconds @121.11 mph. One of the best 1/4 mile times is 9.38 seconds @ 140.51 mph. Car is turnkey, trouble free and easy to drive. The car has a 1/4 mile gear set up in it now. I have a spare 3rd member gear set up complete for the 1/8 mile that goes with it. Also have a new, spare 2 speed power glide transmission.
