1970 Siata Spring Roadster. All-steel body micro sports car produced in Turin, Italy, derived from the rear-engine Fiat 850 platform. Production was limited to around 3,500 examples, of which approximately 300 are said to remain today.
Siata was an Italian car tuning shop and speed parts manufacturer that got into the car-building business after World War II. Its last new product was the Spring, a 2-seat sports car produced by Siata from 1968 to 1970 before the company folded.
Curb weight is a mere 1,400 pounds. The odometer reads 32400miles. The Siata Spring is a fun and unusual, easy-to-maintain Italian roadster. Driveline parts are readily available. The car is in good overall condition ?and is used daily. Features include an 843-cc four-cylinder, water-cooled Fiat engine, four-speed synchromesh manual transmission, a new convertible top, side curtains (windows), cabin heater, genuine Borrani wire wheels, and Carello headlights.
