1986 Jaguar XJ6 - Daily Driver Ready! -I purchased this car over a year ago (January 2022) at auction where it went from the original owner from Alabama. Rust free.
Has 107,064 miles (I've put 4,500).
I drive it every week.
I have cleaned, inspected, repaired, corrected, and thoroughly gone through the car and it's systems to assure that everything is working well and properly.
I have replaced/installed many parts for peace of mind, and all maintenance done during the past year, by me personally.
Runs & drives very well!
It got it from a dealer in Pennsylvania who had bought it at auction where it was sent by the original owner.
So really, I am the second owner.
Previous owner had new paint 3-5 yrs ago.
Previous owner's tires have approximately 70% tread left and are only 3-4 yrs old.
Here is a list of everything I have done to the car myself:
-new improved air conditioning control module
-new horn
-new blinker relay
-NOS fuel tank switch
-new main ignition coil
-new spark plugs
-new coolant valve (for A/C-Heat system)
-new engine coolant thermostat
-new coolant reservoir tank & hoses
-new engine fan
-new water temperature sensor & sender
-new battery
-new shift knob (wood)
-new headlight glass units with replaceable halogen bulbs (a BIG upgrade from the original sealed beam lamps that were very dim!)
-new ignition key (new copy)
-new fuel filter
-new engine air filter
-every single light bulb is new (51 bulbs total!)
-new chrome wipers (last forever, just replace the rubber)
-all fluids: engine oil & filter, brake fluid flushed, new front brake pads and lubrication/clean of the calipers, new transmission oil, new coolant with additive (reduced the temperature!), new power steering fluid, (so everything except the rear differential gear oil).
-distributor/cap/rotor were replaced in the past 2-4 years (looks new).
The belts still look great.
Only two items do not work/operate and need to be serviced or replaced; the parking brake.
