1949 Triumph 2000 Roadster. The Triumph 2000 Roadster was produced by Britain's Standard Motor Company from 1946 to 1949 and this example is a beautiful throwback to years gone by. This 1949 Triumph 2000 is powered by her 2.1 liter inline 4 cylinder coupled to her 3 speed manual transmission. She runs and drives very well and is overall a wonderful car. Originally registered in 1949, this Triumph has been in the same family since the1965 and after years of regular summer use, it sat in a garage on a trailer for 25 years, unused. When the owner passed away, the family decided to get her back on the road and sent it to Silverstone Motorcars in North Andover. There, the car was assessed, and a decision was made to carefully bring the engine back to life, to professionally detail the exterior (she has a few minor blemishes), to completely redo the interior in leather, as originally installed and to have a new canvas convertible top and tonneau cover custom made in Black. The results speak for themselves. With little use over that period, the family have decided to put her up for sale and she has been moved back to North Andover for that purpose. This stunning car is finished in Black with a Brown interior and a matching Black roof. The beautiful body lines of this convertible together with the imposing headlamps and deep grille make this a special car. In the rear you will find a dickey seat with its own folding windscreen providing additional room for two. The car starts up, runs and drives well, is currently registered and insured and has passed the inspection. Overall, it is a nice example of a rare British marque, sure to draw attention wherever it is seen.
