You are looking at a very interesting car. Read the details below. Now this is a 69 with 69 vins and title etc.
The fenders, hood, from nose was changed to 70. Also the taillight panel. Side scoops on quarters will filled. So although it looks like a 70, from the factory and the original shell is 69.
These old school racers bought all NOS metal for the front end to change it.

Car has a very interesting back story.
Turned into a Trans Am style race car
The car came from Wendell Scott’s in Danville according to a great source, it was used as a clone car for the Bud Moore 3-1971 Trans Am factory race car so the bank wouldn’t take the real Trans Am car. Much more about this.
This car has a lot of trick old school race parts on it
65 HIPO rear with diff cooler and panhard bar
Override traction bars /custom covers
Custom made air cleaner and air inlet setup
KKX front spindles
Car had brake cooling ducts on original control arms.
Was raced by Lem Cammack and Erwin Loring
Cammack also owned the real 3-1971 Trans am race car.
NASCAR approved fuel cell
