This is a 1938 Buick Century Coupe, a stylish and powerful model from Buick’s pre-World War II lineup. The Century was known for combining the lightweight body of the Buick Special with the more powerful straight-eight engine from the larger Buick Roadmaster, earning it the nickname “the banker’s hot rod.”
Key features of the 1938 Buick Century include:
• Engine: 320 cubic inch straight-eight, producing around 141 horsepower.
• Design: Distinctive waterfall grille, teardrop-shaped headlights, and Art Deco-inspired styling.
• Interior: Luxurious for its time, with high-quality materials and a streamlined dashboard.
