1929 Cadillac Close-Coupled Sedan – Original Survivor | 49K Miles | One-Family History All Original | Last Year for Wood Spoke Wheels | Runs & Registered
This is a rare opportunity to own an incredibly well-preserved 1929 Cadillac Close-Coupled Sedan, showing just 49,000 original miles. This car has been lovingly cared for over the decades and remains all original, including the paint, interior, and even many of the factory tools and documents.
I purchased this Cadillac in 1970 while in university, directly from the estate of the original owners—two sisters who purchased the car new. It had remained in their garage from 1949 until that point. They never drove it in winter and had a mechanic put it on blocks each fall until spring—resulting in virtually no rust, with the only exception being some corrosion in the battery compartment likely due to acid spillage.
Original 8-cylinder engine – starts and runs great (video available)
Manual transmission
Navy blue with black fenders – original paint
Wooden spoke wheels – final year offered by Cadillac
Original owner's manual, operating instructions, lubrication chart, and many factory tools included
Currently registered and stored indoors
Clean title
All original – unmodified survivor
Garage-kept for nearly a century
Only rust is in the battery tray area
Excellent candidate for preservation class shows or a sympathetic restoration
Includes what appears to be the original radiator cap
