For sale is a 1948 M38 Willys Jeep, a highly capable and well-preserved flat fender that’s been upgraded the right way. This rig runs and drives excellent, with no leaks, a tight chassis, and a long history of reliable performance. It spent most of its life in the low-humidity area, and it shows—solid body, no rust, and extremely clean inside and out.
Engine: Chevy 327 V8 – double hump heads, Edelbrock intake, new 500 CFM Edelbrock carb, ram horn exhaust manifolds, mild cam
Transmission: SM420 4-speed truck transmission – ultra-low 1st gear (7:1 Granny gear)
Transfer Case: Dana 18 with Warn overdrive
Axles: Dana 25 front / Dana 44 rear, 5.13 gears with lockers front and rear, Warn locking hubs
Steering: Chevy power steering with non-tilt column
Brakes: Power 11” drum brakes, 70% lining, dual emergency brakes (driveline & line lock), new master cylinder & brake booster
