1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL

 Here we have a  1963 FORD GALAXIE 500 XL CONVERTIBLE 4 SPEED 390 V8 4 BRL
Previous owner rebuilt the engine, 390 v8 4 brl., which is not original to car but car is an original
big block 390 car. The 4 speed transmission was also rebuilt and goes through the gears
smoothly, Car runs good with no smoke or knocks. Convertible top is original and doesn’t leak
but has shrunk a little over the years as you can see in the pictures, but is still functional. Top
hydrolics and motor were replaced and top goes up and down as it should. Car was restored
some time ago and will need some touch up and minor body work. There is a small dent on the
driver fender near the front headlights (shown in picture). Radiator has electric fan for added
cooling. Newer 4 brl carburetor. This is the XL model that came from the factory with bucket
seats and console. Interior is custom and is in very street-able condition with no rips or tears.
Glass is all good.
Has new alarm and motion detector system. Lights were changed out to led lights. New tires
and wheels. Power steering and power drum brakes. Not an AC car from factory but these days
people are putting in the new Vintage Air AC systems. Heater does work. New brakes, hoses,
lines, and wheel cylinders with new power dual master control. Over the years newer floors,
and partial trunk had mental patches installed and seam sealed.
The car fully restored and having the molding re-chromed with the motor and transmission
already rebuilt will make this car worth a lot of money and is a great investment. Presently not
a show car but won’t take much to get it there. Runs and drives and is a blast to hit the road.
Will go anywhere and is quite the head turner, gets a lot of attention.?
